The owner had an old, shallow well that had started running short late in the summer. We checked the system first, because a new well is the last thing we want to sell someone who doesn't need one. In this case the water level had genuinely dropped below what the old well could handle.
We drilled a replacement to around 360 feet to get below the seasonal swing, in the wooded ground that makes Council jobs their own kind of work. Steady water year round now, and a filed log to go with it.
